Group Handwoven Cotton Ikats

The process of Ikat ('ee-kat') dyeing is an intensive resist technique in which the warp and/or weft yarns are bounded and dyed prior to weaving. This technique creates the unique 'blurry' pattern which remains distinct to the ikat weaving traditions. Due to the handcrafted nature of the textile, ikat fabrics may include slubs, ties and colour variation within the yardage.
